The Hon. Gregory FitzMaurice (Ret.) was a judge for the 2nd Judicial District Court of Idaho. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Butch Otter on January 14, 2015, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Michael Griffin. FitzMaurice retired in 2023.
The 2nd Judicial District includes Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis, and Nez Perce Counties. FitzMaurice held an assignment in Idaho County.
Prior to his appointment, he had managed his own private practice in Grangeville since 1980. Before establishing his law firm, FitzMaurice began his legal career as a law clerk to the Hon. Charles Donaldson with the Idaho Supreme Court.
He received a B.S. from the University of Arizona. FitzMaurice then completed a J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law.
He and his wife, Chris, have four grown children.
