The Hon. Francine R. Vero is a judge for the Saratoga Springs City Court in Saratoga County in the Fourth Judicial District of New York. She was appointed to the bench by former Mayor Joanne Yepsen in 2017.
Prior to her appointment to the bench, Vero worked as senior counsel for Harris Beach since 2010. During her tenure there, she handled business and commercial litigation matters.
Vero earned a B.A. in English from Providence College in 2003. Then, in 2006, she completed a J.D. from Albany Law School.
She has served as president, vice president, and continuing legal education chairperson of the Adirondack Women’s Bar Association. Her other memberships have included the Board of Directors of the Saratoga Rotary Education Foundation, the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, the Associate Board of Directors of the Parson’s Child and Family Center, the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission for the Fourth Judicial District, and the Women’s Law Caucus. She was also the managing editor for Business for the Albany Law Environmental Outlook Journal.
Vero has volunteered at Mercy House Domestic Violence Shelter for Women and Children.
