The Hon. F. Michael Giles (Ret.) served as a judge for the Essex County Superior Court (Vicinage 5) in New Jersey. Giles was appointed to the bench by former Governor James J. Florio in 1991. He retired in 2010.
Over the course of his judicial career, Giles was reprimanded by the New Jersey Supreme Court for using expletives, vulgarity, and disrespectful language in violation of the Code of Judicial Conduct.
Giles earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Seton Hall University in 1965. He then completed a J.D. at Seton Hall Law School in 1973.
