The Hon. Eugene R. Renzi is a judge for the Watertown City Court in Jefferson County in the Fifth Judicial District of New York. He was initially appointed to the Watertown City Court by the Watertown City Council in 2002 and 2008. Then, in 2012, he was elected to the bench.
Renzi earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester. He then completed a J.D. at Syracuse University School of Law.
After graduating from law school, Renzi began his legal career as a law clerk for the Jefferson County Surrogate’s Court. In 1997, he joined Brown, Dierdorf & Renzi as associate, eventually rising through the ranks to become a partner in 2003.
He has served on the Board of Directors of the Brookside Cemetery as well as a board member of the Jefferson County Children’s Home, Transitional Living Services, Jefferson County Historical Society, Victims Assistance Center, and the Italian-American Civic Association.
