The Hon. Dylan M. Sullivan is a judge for the Superior Court of El Dorado County in California. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in September 2014, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Daniel B. Proud.
Sullivan earned a B.S. in physiology from the University of California, Davis in 1988. She then completed a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1997.
She began her legal career as a contract attorney at the Law Offices of Patricia Lynne Nelson in 1998. Two years later, she left the firm and started her own private practice as a sole practitioner.
Then, in 2005, she joined the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Board of Parole Hearings. She served there as a deputy commissioner, rising through the ranks to become an associate chief deputy commissioner.
Prior to her appointment to the bench, she served as a court commissioner for the Superior Court of El Dorado County from 2011 to 2014.
She is registered without party preference.
