The Hon. Douglas B. Clark is a judge for the 7th Judicial District Court of Minnesota. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mark Dayton on November 29, 2018, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Sally Ireland Robertson.
The 7th Judicial District includes Becker County, Benton County, Clay County, Douglas County, Mille Lacs County, Morrison County, Otter Tail County, Stearns County, Todd County, and Wadena County.
Prior to his appointment, Clark was an attorney for Mid-Minnesota Legal Assistance, where he specialized in cases involving housing law, criminal issues, government benefits, and social security.
Clark earned a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University. He then completed a J.D. at Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.
After graduating from law school, Clark began his legal career as a staff attorney for Community Legal Services in Phoenix.
His memberships have included the St. Cloud Library, the St. Cloud Civil Service Board, the Minnesota Housing Partnership, and Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity.
