The Hon. Diana C. Bull is a judge for the Chaffee County Court in Colorado. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Jared Polis on September 16, 2020, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. William P. Alderton.
Bull earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Smith College in 2005. She spent the next few years working as a pro bono coordinator at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom before completing a J.D. at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2011. As a law student, she externed with the New Mexico Supreme Court (2010).
After graduating from law school, Bull began her legal career as a temporary associate at Bull & Davies in Denver. She worked in that capacity until 2012, at which time she became a deputy state public defender for the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office in Salida. Then, in 2017, she opened the Bull Law Office, where she specialized in criminal defense matters.
