Biography

The Hon. Denise D. Fachini is a judge for the Cordele Judicial Circuit Superior Court in Georgia. She was elected to the bench on May 24, 2016, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John C. Pridgen.


The Cordele Judicial Circuit is composed of Ben Hill, Crisp, Dooly, and Wilcox Counties.


Prior to her election, Fachini was the District Attorney for the Cordele Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office, a position she held for sixteen years.


Fachini earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis in 1979. She then completed a J.D. at Memphis State University College of Law in 1983.


Her memberships have included the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia (chair) and the Georgia District Attorneys’ Association (president).


A resident of Cordele, Georgia, Fachini has three children.
