The Hon. David M. Clark is a judge for the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Arkansas. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mike Beebe on July 1, 2007.
The 20th Judicial Circuit includes Faulkner County, Searcy County, and Van Buren County.
Prior to his appointment, Clark was a deputy prosecuting attorney in the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for the 20th Judicial District, a position to which he was named in 1996.
Clark earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and political science from the University of Central Arkansas. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law. As a law student, Clark sat as the associate editor for the Arkansas Law Review.
After graduating from law school, Clark began his legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney at the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for the Sixth Judicial District. During this time, he held assignments in the drug unit and the gang unit.
His memberships have included the Arkansas Bar Association, the Faulkner County Bar Association, the Arkansas Judicial Council, and the Conway Chamber of Commerce. He also sat on the Board of Directors of the Faulkner County Boys and Girls Club.
Raised in Faulkner County, Clark attended Conway High School. He comes from a long line of attorneys, all of whom have practiced in Faulkner County.
