The Hon. David A. Ritchie is a judge for the 14th Judicial District Court of Louisiana in Calcasieu Parish. He was elected to the bench in 2003.
Ritchie is a former Chief Judge of the 14th Judicial District.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1989. Ritchie then completed a J.D. at Mississippi College School of Law in 1992.
One of five children, Ritchie was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Pineville. He joined the Louisiana National Guard at the age of seventeen. Ritchie and his wife, Janet, have three children. He is an active member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor.
He is registered as a Republican.
