Hon. David A. Archuleta is a judge for the Boulder County Court in Colorado. He was appointed to the bench in 1999.
Archuleta has held assignments in both Boulder and Longmont. He hears misdemeanors, protection orders, traffic matters, small claims, felony preliminary hearings, and civil matters under $25,000.
Prior to his appointment, Archuleta worked as a deputy district attorney with the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office (1990 to 1999) and spent a brief time as a private practice attorney.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado. Archuleta went on to complete a J.D. at Colorado Law in 1989.
He is a past president of the Colorado Trial Judges Council and the Colorado County Judges Association and also served as a faculty member for the Colorado Institute for Faculty Excellence and New Judge Orientation.
Archuleta, a native Coloradoan, was raised in Boulder.
