Hon. Darrell G. Shepherd (Ret.) was a district judge for the Fifteenth Judicial District in Oklahoma. He was appointed to the position by former Governor Brad Henry in 2009. His term expired in 2019.
The Fifteenth Judicial District includes the District Courts in Adair, Cherokee, Muskogee, Sequoyah, and Wagoner Counties.
Shepherd began his judicial career as an associate district judge with the Wagoner County District Court in 1995.
Before joining the bench, he was a former assistant district attorney in both Carter (1986 to 1990) and Wagoner (1990 to 1995) Counties.
Shepherd received a bachelor’s degree from Northern State University in 1983. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1986.
