The Hon. Danielle A.R. Coffman is a judge for the 11th Judicial District Court of Montana. She was elected to the bench on November 8, 2022.
The 11th Judicial District encompasses Flathead County.
Coffman earned a bachelor’s degree in history and French from the University of Kansas in 1997. She spent the next two years working as a secretary at the Law Offices of Donald Strole before completing a J.D. at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2001. As a law student, she sat as the editor for the Wisconsin Law Review.
After graduating from law school, Coffman began her legal career as an associate at Winston & Strawn in Chicago. She remained with the firm until 2006, at which time she joined Crowley Fleck. Over the course of her legal career, Coffman represented clients in patent law, antitrust, and white collar criminal proceedings in Illinois as well as professional liability defense matters in Montana.
Coffman was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas, where her father was a sportswriter and her mother was a freelance journalist.
