Biography

The Hon. Daniel A. Procaccini is an associate justice of the Rhode Island Superior Court. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Lincoln Almond on June 19, 2001.


Procaccini currently presides over the Trial Calendar in Courtroom No. 11 in Providence County. He also holds assignments on the Pre-Arraignment Calendar and the Trial/Pre-Trial Calendar.


Prior to his appointment, Procaccini was a partner at Procaccini & Associates, a position he held since 1993. Before that, he spent time as a partner at McGovern, Noel & Bennik (1989 to 1993) and Procaccini & Voccola (1979 to 1989). He supplemented his practice with service as Solicitor for the Town of Greenwich (1989 to 1992).


Procaccini earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology from the University of Rhode Island in 1974. He then completed a J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 1977.


After graduating from law school, Procaccini began his legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Rhode Island Superior Court.


Born and raised in North Providence, Rhode Island, Procaccini attended La Salle Academy. He was a resident of East Greenwich at the time of his appointment. His wife, Kellilee, has served as an assistant to the opinion analyst of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Before pursuing a law career, Procaccini was a musician, having played drums professionally.
