Hon. Corey K. Herron is a circuit judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was appointed to the position by Governor Mike Parson in 2022, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Roger M. Prokes (Ret.).
The 4th Judicial Circuit Court includes Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth Counties.
Herron began his judicial career as an associate circuit judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit Court, having been appointed to the seat in 2008.
Prior to joining the bench, he was an attorney at Andereck, Evans, Milne, Widger & Johnson, LLC (1996 to 2008).
He received a B.S.B.A. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1992. Herron went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Missouri School of Law in 1996.
He was admitted to practice in Missouri (1996), the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Herron is a past president of the 3rd and 4th Circuit Bar Associations and held a membership with the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges.
Herron was born in Fairfax, Missouri. He and his wife, Kristina, have one son.
He is registered as a Republican.
