The Hon. Clyde J. Gober (Ret.) served as a judge on the Cherokee County State Court in Georgia. Gober was elected to the bench in 1984. He retired at the conclusion of his term on December 31, 2012.
Over the course of his judicial career, Gober played an instrumental role in the creation of the DUI / Drug Court in Cherokee County.
Gober earned an A.B. from Georgia State University. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Georgia School of Law. He was licensed to practice in Georgia (1975).
After graduating from law school, Gober began his legal career as an attorney in private practice. He worked in that capacity for the next twelve years, supplementing his practice with service as a judge for the Canton Municipal Court and the Woodstock Municipal Court.
Gober was a resident of Canton, Georgia. He financed his studies by working as a police officer with the Atlanta Police Department.
