The Hon. Clayton Davis is a judge for the 14th Judicial District Court of Louisiana in Calcasieu Parish. He was elected to the bench in 2008.
Davis completed a J.D. at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, in 1981.
Before joining the bench, he spent twenty-seven years as a trial attorney, specializing in personal injury, environmental law, and insurance litigation.
Davis is a member of the Technology Commission of the Louisiana Supreme Court and has chaired the Technology Committee of the Louisiana District Judges Association. His other memberships include the Louisiana State Board of Ethics, the Louisiana State Mineral Board, and the Lake Charles Police and Fireman’s Civil Service Board. Davis is also a past treasurer of the Louisiana Republican Party.
He and his wife, Geralyn, have one daughter and two grandchildren. Davis is an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
