Hon. Christina K. Stevens is a judge for the 3rd Judicial District Court of Minnesota in Olmsted County. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Tim Pawlenty on December 3, 2010, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Lawrence E. Agerter (deceased).
The 3rd Judicial District includes Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca, and Winona Counties.
Prior to her appointment, Stevens spent nine years as an associate at Dunlap & Seeger in Rochester (2001 to 2010). While at the firm, she also presided briefly as a referee for the Olmsted County Conciliation Court (2009 to 2010).
Over the course of her legal career, Stevens practiced as an attorney at Bagniefski & Murakami (2000 to 2001), a staff attorney at Ceridian Performance Partners (2000 to 2001), and an associate at Kenneth J. Jacobs Law Office (1998 to 2000).
She received a B.A. at Minnesota State University, Moorhead in 1995. Stevens went on to complete a J.D. at Hamline University School of Law in 1997.
Her memberships have included the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Olmsted County Bar Association.
Stevens served as lead judge of the Olmsted County Expedited Litigation Track Pilot Program and the Olmsted County Conciliation Court Program and was a co-lead judge for the Olmsted County Early Case Management/Early Neutral Evaluation Pilot Program and the Olmsted County Post-Judgement Case Management Pilot Program. She was also a member of the Early Case Management Neutral Evaluation Statewide Steering Committee.
From a civic standpoint, Stevens has served on the Board of Directors for the Chosen Valley Community Foundation, the Children’s Museum of Rochester, the Rochester Habitat for Humanity, and the River Trails Girl Scout Council.
