The Hon. Charles A. Zimmerman (Ret.) was a district magistrate for the 8th Judicial District Court of Kansas. He was appointed to the bench in 2007. Zimmerman retired on January 11, 2021.
The 8th Judicial District includes Dickinson, Geary, Marion, and Morris Counties. Zimmerman held an assignment in Geary County.
Prior to his appointment, he spent nineteen years as the City Attorney for Junction City, having joined the office in 1988. Before that, Zimmerman served as a judge advocate in the United States Army (1968 to 1988).
He received a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University in 1964. Zimmerman then completed a J.D. at Rutgers Law School in 1967.
