Hon. Carol K. McGinley (Ret.) is a senior judge for the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. She was elected to the bench in 1985. McGinley took senior status in October 2017.
She received an A.B. from Manhattanville College in 1970. McGinley went on to complete a J.D. at Georgetown Law School in 1973.
Prior to her judicial career, she was a partner at Gross, McGinley, LaBarre & Eaton, where she had practiced since 1974.
Her memberships included the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners (chairman), the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges (past president), the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline, the Juvenile Court Procedural Rules Committee (chairman), the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges Commission (chairman), the Judicial Council of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Governor’s Cabinet on Children and Families, and the Lehigh County Bar Association.
McGinley is registered as a Democrat.
