Hon. Bryan L. Chesshir is a judge for the 9th West Judicial Circuit Court of Arkansas. He joined the bench in 2021.
The 9th Judicial Circuit includes Howard, Little River, Pike, and Sevier Counties.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, Chesshir served as the Prosecuting Attorney for the 9th West Judicial District since being elected in 2008. Before that, he had worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Howard County since 1995.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas. Chesshir went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law in 1990.
He was admitted to practice in Arkansas in 1991.
Chesshir was named Prosecuting Attorney of the Year by the Arkansas Prosecuting Attorneys Association in 2017.
He is a native of Nashville, Arkansas. Chesshir and his wife, Kayla, have three children.
