The Hon. Bruce P. Fehrenbacher is a circuit judge for the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. He was appointed to the bench by the Illinois Supreme Court on September 1, 2018, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Thomas Keith.
The 10th Judicial Circuit includes Marshall County, Peoria County, Putnam County, Stark County, and Tazewell County.
Prior to his election, Fehrenbacher was a partner at Fehrenbacher & Fehrenbacher, a law firm he operated for nearly forty years. He represented clients in civil and criminal matters at both the trial and appellate levels.
Fehrenbacher earned a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. He then completed a J.D. at the American University Washington College of Law.
Born and raised in Wyoming, Illinois, Fehrenbacher and his wife, Marykay, have two adult children. Marykay is a retired elementary school teacher.
He is registered as a Republican.
