Hon. Billy Jack Gibson is a judge for the Grant County District Court in Arkansas. He was elected to the bench in 2020.
Gibson also presides over the Hot Spring County District Court.
Prior to his election, he managed his own private practice, Billy Jack Gibson, Attorney at Law, since 2013. As a sole practitioner, Gibson handled divorce, custody, adoption, guardianship, paternity, visitation, civil litigation, orders of protection, wills, probate, trusts, estate planning, and personal injury matters. During that same time, he represented individuals in adult protective services and involuntary commitment cases as a deputy public defender in Grant County (2019 to 2020).
Gibson also spent over four years as the City Attorney for the City of Rockport (2014 to 2019).
He received a B.A. in history from Henderson State University. Gibson went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law. He was admitted to practice in Arkansas in 2013.
His memberships have included the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Hot Spring County Bar Association, the Malvern Hot Spring County Chamber of Commerce, and the Hot Spring County Historical Society. Gibson also sat on the Glen Rose Fire Board of Directors.
