The Hon. Benjamin J. Cluff is a judge for the 5th Judicial District Court of Idaho. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Butch Otter on January 29, 2018, filling a vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. Richard Bevan to the Idaho Supreme Court.
The 5th Judicial District encompasses Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka, and Twin Falls Counties. Cluff has held assignments in Twin Falls County.
Prior to his appointment, Cluff was a partner at Coleman, Ritchie & Cluff, a law firm he joined in 2010. Before that, he spent time as an associate at Hepworth, Lezamiz & Janis.
Cluff earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law.
He was born and raised in Oregon. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children.
