The Hon. Antony C. Ufland is a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was appointed by former Governor Jerry Brown on May 22, 2017, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Frederick P. Aguirre.
Ufland earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He then received a J.D. from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1991.
Ufland began his legal career working as an associate at the Law Offices of Hagenbaugh and Murphy from 1991 to 1993. He then joined the Office of the Alternate Defender of Orange County. He served as a deputy alternate defender, eventually becoming a senior deputy alternate defender in 2005.
He was a resident of Newport Beach, California at the time of his appointment to the bench.
He is a registered Democrat.
