The Hon. Anita M. Olson-Kiene is a magistrate for the 5th Judicial District Court of Iowa in Clarke County. She was appointed to the bench in 2023.
The 5th Judicial District includes Adair, Adams, Clarke, Dallas, Decatur, Guthrie, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Marion, Polk, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Warren, and Wayne counties.
Olson-Kiene received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Drake University in 1990. She then completed a J.D. at Drake University Law School. She was admitted to practice in Iowa in 1992.
Olson-Kiene worked in private practice before becoming the managing broker at Associated Realty in Des Moines.
Her memberships include the Des Moines Association of Realtors.
Olson-Kiene, who attended Marshalltown High School, is married and has one child.
