Biography

The Hon. Andrew B. Roper is a judge on the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit Superior Court in Georgia. He was elected to the bench in 2022.


The Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit encompasses Polk and Haralson counties.


Prior to his election, Roper owned and operated the Roper Firm, a legal outfit he opened in 2010. During his tenure there, he supplemented his practice with service as a judge for the Rockmart Municipal Court (2014 to 2022) and a magistrate for the Polk County Magistrate Court (2013 to 2022).


Roper earned a B.A. from Georgia State University in 2002. He then completed a J.D. at Samford University, Cumberland School of Law, in 2005. He was licensed to practice in Georgia (2005).
