Judge Amanda Cooperman: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Amanda Cooperman (Ret.) served as a judge for the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. Cooperman was elected to the bench in 1995. She retired in 2019.


Prior to her election, Cooperman served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia County District Attorney’s Office. She also worked as a trial attorney at Greitzer & Locks.


Cooperman earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in 1974. She then completed a J.D. at New England Law in 1982.


She is registered as a Democrat.
