The Hon. Alicia S. Humbert is a magistrate for the Vermont Superior Court. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Phil Scott on February 8, 2018.
Over the course of her judicial career, Humbert has presided over cases in the Family Division in Caledonia, Essex, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, Washington, and Windsor Counties.
Prior to her appointment, Humbert was a managing attorney for the Office of Child Support in the Vermont Department of Children & Families. In that capacity, she represented the State of Vermont in child support hearings. She has also handled civil, criminal, probate, and juvenile law matters.
Humbert earned a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and a master’s degree from Salve Regina University. She then completed a J.D. at Vermont Law School.
She was a resident of Northfield, Vermont, at the time of her appointment.
