The Hon. Adam J. Haney is a judge for the East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Court in Louisiana. He was elected to the bench in 2014.
He received a bachelor’s degree in history from Loyola University New Orleans in 2000. Haney then completed a J.D. at Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, in 2006.
After graduating from law school, he began his legal career as an associate at Shows, Cali, Berthelot & Walsh. Haney was the chief gang prosecutor and chief homicide prosecutor for the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office at the time of his election to the bench. In addition, he worked in conjunction with local law enforcement to reduce homicide rates in Baton Rouge through the BRAVE (Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination) project.
