The Hon. Aaron Berlin is a judge for the Forsyth County Superior Court in the 21st Judicial District of the 4th Division in North Carolina. He was elected to the bench on November 8, 2022.
Berlin earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Wake Forest University in 2006. He then completed a J.D. at Wake Forest University School of Law in 2010. As a law student, he sat as the student solicitor, tasked with prosecuting honor code violations.
After graduating from law school, Berlin began his legal career as an assistant district attorney in the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office Office. He served in that capacity until his election to the bench, specializing in the prosecution of repeat domestic violence offenders. Berlin supplemented his practice with service as a traffic safety resource prosecutor for the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys (2017 to 2021).
His memberships have included the Forsyth County Republican Party. He has also been involved with the Battered Women’s Shelter and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
He is a recipient of the Prosecutor Hero Award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Berlin attended Moore Elementary School and Forsyth Country Day School. He subsequently served a two-year church service mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anaheim, California.
He is registered as a Republican.
