Biography

The Hon. Titiana D. Frausto is a judge for the 181st District Court in Potter County and Randall County, Texas. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Greg Abbott on September 11, 2020, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John B. Board.

Frausto earned a B.A. in political science from the University of New Orleans in 2004. She then completed a J.D. at Texas Tech University School of Law in 2009.

After graduating from law school, Frausto entered into private practice, specializing in family law and criminal defense matters. She started as an attorney in the Abbott Law Office before starting her own private practice as a sole practitioner in 2013. Then, in 2015, she joined the Underwood Law Firm, where she worked as an attorney and shareholder until her appointment to the bench.

Her professional memberships have included the Amarillo Area Bar Association and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. She has sat on the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas as well as the State Bar District 13 Grievance Committee. She has also served as a president of the Panhandle Family Law Association as well as a volunteer attorney for the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.

Frausto is a board member of the Opportunity School, a mentor for Project Safe Neighborhoods, and president of the Amarillo Art Institute.

She was born and raised in Louisiana.
