Judge Stephanie H. Klein: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

The Hon. Stephanie H. Klein is a judge for the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. She was elected to the bench on November 5, 2019.

Prior to her election, Klein served as a judge for the Delaware County Magisterial District Court from 1996 to 2014. Two years later, she became a private neutral, mediator, and arbitrator in civil matters with ADR Options. She worked in this capacity until her election to the bench.

Klein earned a B.A. in French and history from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1976. She then completed a J.D. at American University Washington College of Law in 1979.

Her board memberships have included the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators, Legal Aid of Southeast Pennsylvania, and the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County. She also sat as a hearing committee member of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court as well as the Pro Bono Committee and the Women in the Law Committee for the Delaware County Bar Association.

Klein resides in Nether Providence with her husband, former Delaware County Democratic Party Chairman.
