Biography

The Hon. Kenneth J. Janesk, II is a judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2020, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Patti Christensen.


The 7th Judicial Circuit encompasses Flagler County, Putnam County, St. Johns County, and Volusia County. Janesk has held assignments in St. Johns County and Putnam County, presiding over civil, probate, and guardianship cases.


Janesk received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in 2004. He went on to earn a J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2010.


After graduating from law school, Janesk began his legal career as an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit. Over the course of his tenure there, he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases, eventually holding an assignment in the Career Criminal Unit. Then, in 2016, he was selected to serve as the managing attorney for the office in Putnam County.
