Judge Rex W. Peveto: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

Hon. Rex W. Peveto is a judge for the 163rd District Court of Texas in Orange County. He was elected to the bench in 2020.

Prior to his election, Peveto practiced alongside his father, Wayne, at the family law firm since 1994. He also served as a city attorney for the City of West.

Peveto earned a bachelor’s degree from Lamar University in 1991. He then completed a J.D. at South Texas College of Law Houston in 1994.

His memberships include the LCM School Board, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and the Orange County Bar Association, where he served as a secretary and vice president.

He and his wife, Robin, have three sons. Peveto was a founder and coach for LCM Little Dribblers and a Sunday School teacher at North Orange Baptist Church.

Peveto is registered as a Republican.
