In this case, Plaintiff filed this wage-and-hour class action on December 29, 2020, against
Defendants, alleging on behalf of himself and those similarly-situated claims for (1) overtime
wages; (2) meal period violations; (3) rest period violations; (4) minimum wages; (5) untimely
payment of wages; (6) wage statement violations; (7) failure to reimburse; and (8) unfair
business practices under Business and Professions Code, section 17200. On March 17, 2021,
Plaintiff amended to add a claim for penalties under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
In essence, Plaintiff alleges that he was employed by Defendants as a non-exempt employee in
Defendants’ California recycling and environmental solutions workforce, where such violations
