BACKGROUND

In September 2013, Plaintiff and Defendant entered into a written retainer agreement by which Plaintiff would provide legal services to Defendant. Plaintiff did provide those legal services from September 2013 through January 2016. Plaintiff alleges Defendant has refused to pay its outstanding balance. The parties then entered a tolling agreement in which Defendant acknowledged that the fees were undisputed and reasonable.
