NATURE OF PROCEEDINGS: MODIFICATION — CUSTODY AND VISITATION [RESP] CHARLES MCBRIDE

RULING

This matter is on for review of custody and visitation orders issued on October 15, 2020. To summarize, Respondent Charles McBride (“Father”) filed an exparte request for Temporary Emergency Orders to change visitation and custody orders on September 18, 2020. Finding good cause, the court granted Father’s request, ordering supervised visitation pending this hearing for Petitioner Vanessa McBride (“Mother”) and their son Evan, who is almost 9 years old. Father’s moving papers were filed on September 16, 2020. Mother’s opposition was also filed on September 16.

At the hearing the parents were referred to Marin Family Court Services (“FCS”) for mediation and counseling on the issues raised by Father. Unfortunately, only Father attended the meeting with FCS.
