Background
This is a partition action. On September 25, 2014, plaintiff filed a complaint for partition of real property pursuant to a trustee’s deed that plaintiff acquired after he foreclosed on an attorneys’ lien. On October 1, 2014, plaintiff filed a notice of lis pendens. On March 20, 2015, default was entered against Rashad. On March 23, 2015, default was entered against defendant Frank Salz. On April 16, 2015, plaintiff filed a notice of automatic stay caused by a filing in another court. On January 7, 2016, plaintiff filed a notice of termination of stay, indicating that the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas lifted the automatic stay. On January 22, 2016, plaintiff filed a notice of stay caused by Rashad’s filing for bankruptcy in the Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. On February 9, 2016, Rashad, in pro per, filed a notice of removal to the Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
