Petition to Approve Minor’s Compromise
Having considered the petitioning papers, the Court rules as follows. No opposing papers were filed.
BACKGROUND
On October 1, 2018, Plaintiff Cole McKeever, by and through his guardian ad litem Stephen McKeever, filed a complaint against Defendant Donald Ray Williams, J & P Lima, Inc., Jesus Samuel Nevarez, and Fedex Ground Package Systems, Inc. (“Defendants”). The complaint alleges negligence for an automobile collision that killed Plaintiff McKeever’s mother on January 13, 2017.
On March 5, 2020, Petitioner Stephen McKeever (“Petitioner”) filed a petition to approve compromise of pending action for Claimant Cole McKeever (“Claimant”).
On March 20, 2020, the Court continued the hearing on the petition to approve a compromise of pending action to April 29, 2020.
On April 15, 2020, the Court continued the hearing on the petition to approve a compromise of pending action to July 6, 2020.
