Background
Plaintiff Tania Schwartz sues the City of Beverly Hills for damages based on allegations that defendant discriminated against her on the basis of a disability and retaliated against her for whistleblowing.
As plaintiff alleges, she was (and remains) a Senior Management Analyst for the Beverly Hills Police Department. Complaint ¶ 10. Plaintiff would regularly warn or complain that “Chief Spagnoli” was not following pertinent rules and regulations. Id. at ¶ 12. In May 2017, an investigator hired by defendant to look into unlawful employment allegations interviewed plaintiff, and plaintiff spoke “honestly.” Id. at ¶ 13.
