Plaintiffs Hayk Arakelyan and Brianna Haddad’s motion for substitution and leave is GRANTED.

On May 14, 2018, Plaintiffs Hayk Arakelyan and Brianna Haddad filed a complaint against Defendant County of Los Angeles, Los Angele County Department of Children and Family Services, Rick Pugh, and Lisa Pugh. This is a wrongful death case regarding the death of Plaintiffs’ child Karo Arakelyan (“Karo”). The Pughs were the child’s temporary foster parents. Plaintiffs allege that the County failed to inform the Pughs that baby Karo suffered from a pulmonary condition, required specialized health care, and could not tolerate high elevations. The Pughs took Karo to Big Bear, where he suddenly died during a nap.

On October 14, 2020, Plaintiffs filed a motion to substitute Alec Arakelyan, by and through his guardian ad litem Tiruhi Panosyan, as a successor in interest for Hayk, who recently died. Plaintiffs also request leave to file a Third Amended Complaint reflecting this change. No opposition w
