Background

On July 25, 2017, Plaintiff Raffi Parseghian (“Plaintiff”) filed a complaint against Maria Ramos (“Ramos”), the City of Los Angeles (“City”), Los Angeles Unified School District (“LAUSD”), and Does 1-30, alleging causes of action for (1) negligence (against Ramos), (2) negligent entrustment, (3) negligence (against City and LAUSD), (4) negligent hiring, and (5) dangerous condition of public property.

Plaintiff alleges that on May 23, 2016, Defendant Ramos operated her vehicle negligently to collide with Plaintiff’s vehicle during a left turn. Plaintiff also alleges that the traffic controller, employed by Defendants LAUSD and City, negligently directed traffic as to cause Defendant Ramos to hit Plaintiff’s car.
