[TENTATIVE] ORDER RE: MOTION TO BE RELIEVED AS COUNSEL

S. Sean Bral, counsel of record for Plaintiff Justin Marin Gonzales, seeks to be relieved as counsel on grounds that there has been a breakdown in attorney-client communications. Absent a showing of resulting prejudice, an attorney’s request for withdrawal should be granted. (People v. Prince (1968) 268 Cal.App.2d 398, 406.) Counsel’s Motion complies with California Rules of Court, Rule 3.1362. The trial in this matter is currently set for January 9, 2020, which provides time for Plaintiff to find new counsel.

Accordingly, the motion is GRANTED. However, the proposed order is missing Plaintiff’s address and phone number and the September 19, 2019 hearing on the motion to compel. Before the hearing, Plaintiff’s counsel is to file a new proposed order correctly filled out.

Moving party to give notice.
