Motion to Compel Medical Examination of Plaintiff

On January 10, 2017, plaintiff Karnita Underwood (“plaintiff”) filed a complaint against defendants Gregory Brown (“Brown” or “defendant”) and Diedra M. Burr, Trustee of Revocable Trust of Gloria C. Lee-Ford. On May 8, 2017, plaintiff filed a first amended complaint, and on September 25, 2017, plaintiff filed a second amended complaint alleging causes of action for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence. The complaint alleges that on January 11, 2015, Brown verbally threatened plaintiff and beat her severely using his hands, feet, and a large metal object, rendering plaintiff unconscious. (Complaint, ¶ 10.)
