On September 13, 2016, Plaintiff Angela Bryant (“Plaintiff”) filed this action for alleged damages arising out of a September 18, 2014 trip and fall. At the time of the incident, Plaintiff was employed by non-party United Teachers Los Angeles (“UTLA”). Intervenor Insurance Company of the West (“ICW”) has made workers’ compensation benefits payments to Plaintiff as a result of the injuries listed in her Complaint. ICW therefore seeks leave to intervene to protect its subrogation interest in this matter.
