On January 17, 2017, Plaintiff Maria Del Carmen F. Corona (“Plaintiff”) filed this action against Defendants City of Los Angeles (the “City”) and County of Los Angeles (“Moving Defendant”) for alleged damages arising out of a February 12, 2016 trip and fall. Plaintiff alleges general negligence, premises liability, and dangerous condition of public property. Moving Defendant now moves for judgment on the pleadings.

A motion for judgment on the pleadings may be brought when the complaint does not state facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action against the defendant. Cal. Code of Civ. Proc. § 438(c)(1)(B)(ii). A motion for judgment on the pleadings is equivalent to a demurrer. People ex rel. Harris v. Pac Anchor Transportation, Inc. (2014) 59 Cal.4th 772, 777. All properl
