[TENTATIVE] ORDER RE: MOTION TO BE RELIEVED AS COUNSEL; GRANTED

E. Samuel Johnson, III, counsel of record for Plaintiffs, seeks to be relieved on grounds ethical issues mandate his withdrawal, but Plaintiffs refuse to sign a substitution of attorney. Absent a showing of resulting prejudice, an attorney’s request for withdrawal should be granted. (People v. Prince (1968) 268 Cal.App.2d 398, 406.)

The Court notes trial is currently set for July 10, 2019 and no prejudice will result from granting this Motion. Counsel is ordered to bring a proposed order (MC-053) to the hearing on this Motion.

Subject to counsel bringing proposed orders, the unopposed Motion to be relieved is GRANTED and effective upon counsel filing a proof of service showing service of this Order on Plaintiffs and Defendants.
