Background

Plaintiff Frank Darmiento (“Plaintiff”) alleges that on January 16, 2016, he sustained injuries after Defendant Oscar Meza (“Meza”) brutally attacked him by picking up a glass and smashing it on his face at the bar in the VIP section of Defendant DBDJ, LLC dba Bootsy Bellows (“DBDJ”). The complaint was filed on March 15, 2016. The First Amended Complaint (“FAC”) was filed on April 21, 2016. On May 2, 2016, Meza filed a cross-complaint, asserting causes of action against Plaintiff and Does 1-20 for (1) Battery, (2) Partial Indemnification and (3) Declaratory Relief. On June 14, 2016, DBDJ filed a cross-complaint, asserting causes of action against Meza, Aegis Security & Investigations, Inc.
