Defendant’s Motion to Quash Deposition Subpoena for Production of Business Records from Healthcare Partners Medical Group and Motion for Protective Order; Request for Sanctions and Defendant’s Motion for a Protective Order Preventing Custodian of Records of Healthcare Partners Medical Group from Delivering True Copies of Business Records to Deposition Officer; Request for Sanctions, filed on 6/20/17, are both GRANTED. The subpoena issued by Plaintiff on HealthCare Partners Medical Group is ordered quashed. The court issues a protective order precluding the disclosure of Defendant’s medical records by the witness. Total sanctions of $1,695 for both motions are imposed against Plaintiff’s counsel, Gary C. Eto. Cal Code Civ Procedure § 1987.1.
